Elizabeth Snipes

Elizabeth Snipes is an Artist, Mother, and Professor of Art at Lander University in Greenwood, SC where she was recently awarded the Lander University 2022 Distinguished Professor Award. Originally from Pickens, SC she received a BA in Studio Art from Furman University, and a subsequent Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Florence, Italy. From there she earned her MFA from Clemson University and began teaching as an assistant Professor of Art at Missouri State University. Ultimately her path led her back to South Carolina where she lives with her two daughters and shares her studio with a hedgehog.
